Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has clashed with police officers who attempted to arrest him at a Lagos club. A trending video captured the rapper inside a car surrounded by several officers.
During the heated exchange, Odumodu insisted that the officers had no jurisdiction to arrest him at the venue. He explained that police had earlier visited his estate while looking for him. According to him, his estate management informed him about the visit.
The rapper said he contacted his lawyers, who attended to the matter with the police. He also stressed that he was not resisting arrest. However, he argued that the officers could not arrest him at the event.
“You don’t have the jurisdiction; you came to my house. Don’t tell me to wait. I am not resisting an arrest. My lawyers attended to it.”
Meanwhile, the incident comes amid a difficult period for the rapper. Odumodublvck recently claimed he survived a major smear campaign against him. He also criticised Arise TV presenter Oseni Rufai after the journalist interviewed his rival, BlaqBonez.
Oseni later invited Odumodu to share his side of the story. The rapper has also remained locked in a public feud with BlaqBonez. Their fallout reportedly began after a disagreement involving a woman. The dispute later spilled online, with accusations, threats and legal action.
BlaqBonez has denied Odumodu’s sexual abuse allegations and challenged him to court. He also claimed to have sued the rapper over criminal defamation, assault and theft.
Interestingly, the two rappers were once close friends and collaborators. They worked together on “DOLLERZ,” “TESLA BOY” and “TECHNICIAN.” Odumodu had also publicly acknowledged BlaqBonez’s influence on his career. Their friendship, however, later turned into one of Nigeria’s most talked-about music industry feuds.
