Bradley Barcola Joins Liverpool from PSG in £123m Transfer

Liverpool have completed the signing of France international Bradley Barcola from Paris St-Germain in a deal worth up to £123m.

The 23-year-old forward joins the Reds for an initial £106m, with a further £17m available in potential add-ons. PSG had initially valued Barcola at around £145m.

Barcola has signed a five-year contract at Anfield and becomes Liverpool’s fifth new arrival of the summer transfer window. He follows winger Victor Munoz and defenders Jeremy Jacquet, Ronald Araujo and Ifeanyi Ndukwe in joining the club.

“It took a long time but I’m really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play,” Barcola said.

“I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League – it’s one of my biggest dreams in my life.“It is to do that and to stay in this team in the long term – that’s why I signed a long contract – and I hope I can do it.”

Barcola Takes Number 29 Shirt

Barcola will wear the number 29 shirt at Liverpool and is expected to provide additional attacking options for manager Andoni Iraola.

Although primarily a left winger, the France international is capable of operating across the forward line.

His arrival comes after the departure of Mohamed Salah, while Hugo Ekitike’s long-term injury has further reduced Liverpool’s attacking options. Cody Gakpo could also leave the club if a potential sale goes through.

Barcola’s versatility is therefore expected to be an important asset for Liverpool as they prepare for the new campaign.
