Burna Boy will co-host AfroBank FM in GTA 6, bringing Nigerian music and African sounds to the highly anticipated video game.
Burna Boy is taking African music to a bigger global audience with his upcoming appearance in Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6). The Nigerian superstar will co-host AfroBank FM, one of the game’s in-game radio stations. He will team up with German DJ and producer Palms Trax. Together, they will bring African sounds to millions of gamers worldwide.
The Grammy-winning singer will appear as an in-game radio personality called Burna. However, this is not his first connection to the popular gaming franchise. His song Killin Dem, featuring Zlatan, previously appeared on GTA V’s iFruit Radio. Additionally, his track Gettin’ Money featured in the GTA Online Cayo Perico update. His latest role further strengthens his presence in the gaming world.
Meanwhile, Burna Boy joins a star-studded lineup of artists selected for GTA 6. Other names include Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny, American singer Lana Del Rey, country singer Morgan Wallen and Swedish pop star Robyn. Rappers Trick Daddy and Trina will also host stations. In addition, Slayer band members Kerry King and Tom Araya will bring heavy metal to the game. AfroBank FM will showcase African music, from 20th-century classics to hidden gems, amapiano and 3-step sounds.
GTA 6 continues to build excitement among gamers and music lovers ahead of its release. Rockstar Games has scheduled the game to launch on November 19, 2026. It will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
With Burna Boy bringing African music into the mix, AfroBank FM could become a major attraction for players. The move also highlights the growing global influence of Nigerian music.
