Celebrities Battle for Best Wedding Outfit at Folagade Banks’ Movie Premiere

Top Nollywood stars brought serious fashion energy to Folagade Banks’ movie premiere in Lagos on Wednesday. The premiere of A Wedding Story attracted several big names from the entertainment industry. Femi Adebayo, Toyin Abraham, Toyosi Adesanya, Osas Ighodaro, Hilda Baci, Lateef Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe attended the glamorous event. Mercy Aigbe, Kate Henshaw, Shaffy Bello, Stan Nze, Blessing Obasi and Uche Ogbodo also made appearances. BBNaija stars Phyna and Imisi were among the celebrities who graced the occasion.

The wedding-themed premiere quickly became a fashion showdown. Celebrities came dressed to impress, with stunning gowns and sharp suits dominating the red carpet. Everyone seemed ready to claim the unofficial Best Wedding Outfit award. From elegant bridal-inspired looks to stylish traditional outfits, the stars clearly understood the assignment. The premiere therefore gave fans plenty of fashion moments to talk about.

Beyond the fashion, the movie itself is already attracting attention. The film features stars such as Toyin Abraham, Bukky Wright, Akin Lewis and Erica Nlewedim. Omowunmi Dada, Rotimi Salami and Mama Rainbow also join the star-studded cast. Folagade Banks, whose real name is Abiri Tobi Folagade, is taking his popular Mama Deola character to the big screen. He also revealed that the project will launch a movie franchise centred on the character.

Directed by Femi Adebayo, the film features a massive wedding scene with more than 600 cast members. Folagade described it as “the biggest wedding sequence ever staged in a Nollywood production.” The elaborate wedding between Demilola and Femi reportedly took about 20 hours to film. Hundreds of actors and extras were involved in the production. Folagade also described the movie as “one of the industry’s most ambitious productions.” As a first-time movie producer, he said the project surpassed his expectations.
