Veteran Nollywood actor Charles Awurum has stirred fresh reactions online after mocking South Africa following their exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The actor did not hold back in a viral video that has quickly gained attention across Nigerian social media.
Awurum said, “Go home and take care of your job and women.” His comment came after South Africa crashed out of the tournament following a defeat to Canada. The video spread fast on Instagram and other platforms, with many Nigerians praising his comic style and bold delivery.
Before the match, South Africa’s captain had appealed to other African countries for support. He also expressed disappointment that many Africans were cheering against his team and leaving negative comments online. However, Awurum argued that South Africans often mistreat fellow Africans living in their country. Because of that, he said they should not be surprised when other Africans return the same energy.
