Chelsea team news leak emerges before Brighton defeat

Chelsea faced fresh controversy after team news was reportedly leaked before their 3-0 defeat to Brighton.

Chelsea suffered another setback on and off the pitch after a social media post linked to Marc Cucurella’s barber appeared to reveal key injury news before kickoff against Brighton & Hove Albion.

An image of Cucurella getting a haircut was shared on X before the match with the caption claiming Cole Palmer and João Pedro were both injured. The post was later deleted, and the account reportedly disappeared soon after.

Neither player was named on Chelsea’s bench, adding attention to the leak.

On the pitch, Chelsea were outplayed in a heavy 3-0 defeat at the Amex Stadium. The result extended their Premier League winless run to five matches, with the Blues failing to score in all five games.

Manager Liam Rosenior reacted angrily after the match, calling his team’s display “unacceptable” and questioning the players’ desire, attitude and intensity.

He said Chelsea lost too many duels, failed in basic defending, and did not meet the standards expected at the club. Rosenior also admitted he must review team selection and identify players he can trust in difficult moments.

This is not the first reported leak Chelsea have faced this season, with previous lineup details also surfacing before Champions League matches against Paris Saint-Germain.

Supporters voiced frustration during the defeat, with some chanting against the manager and displaying protest banners.

Chelsea now face growing pressure to respond quickly, with confidence low and scrutiny increasing around performances behind the scenes and on the pitch.
