Cristiano Ronaldo fires Al-Nassr to Saudi Pro League title win

Cristiano Ronaldo ended his long wait for a Saudi league title as Al-Nassr secured the 2025/26 championship.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Al-Nassr defeated Damac FC 4-1 on the final day of the season to win the Saudi Pro League title for the first time since 2019.

The victory saw Al-Nassr finish two points ahead of rivals Al-Hilal and finally deliver the domestic title Ronaldo was signed to help win after joining the club in December 2022.

Former Liverpool FC winger Sadio Mane opened the scoring before Kingsley Coman doubled Al-Nassr’s lead early in the second half. Damac briefly responded through a Morlaye Sylla penalty, but Ronaldo sealed the win with a stunning free-kick and a late close-range finish.

The title ends a five-year trophy drought for Ronaldo and marks his first major domestic success in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese star has now scored 129 goals for Al-Nassr across all competitions, including more than 100 in the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo’s arrival helped transform global attention on Saudi football, with several major international stars later joining the league as part of the country’s growing sports investment project.

Al-Nassr’s title triumph now stands as one of the biggest moments of Ronaldo’s Saudi Arabian career and a landmark achievement for the club.
