Davido Advises Upcoming Artistes Not to Forget God After Success

Afrobeats star Davido advises upcoming artistes to stay close to God after success. He says fame brings distractions and urges young musicians to remain humble and focused.

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has shared an important message for rising musicians. The award-winning singer urged upcoming artistes to stay close to God even after becoming successful.

According to him, fame comes with many distractions that can make people forget the source of their blessings. His advice comes at a time when some celebrities have admitted they stopped attending church after becoming famous.

During a recent interview with Kiss Xtra, Davido encouraged young talents to first believe in themselves. He also stressed the importance of mastering their craft through constant learning and practice. Speaking about his own journey, he said,

“My advice for up-and-coming artistes, is first of all, believe in yourself. I worked on my craft so much. I loved music so much that I just wanted to get better every time. When I was young, I was learning from YouTube and the people around me.”

The singer also explained that success should never replace faith. Instead, he believes success should bring people even closer to God. He warned that the entertainment industry is filled with temptations capable of shifting people’s focus. Davido said,

“Secondly, love what you do and put God first and close, especially when you make it because there are so many distractions that can make you forget he is the reason you are here.”

Davido’s message is already connecting with many fans online. While hard work, talent, and consistency remain important, he believes faith should always come first. His words also serve as a reminder that success is easier to manage when people stay grounded. For many upcoming artistes chasing their dreams, Davido’s advice goes beyond music.

It is a lesson about staying humble, focused, and grateful, no matter how big life becomes.
