Afrobeats star Davido has reacted angrily to claims that he slid into a South African lady’s DM. The lady, identified as Lethabo, shared screenshots of their alleged conversation online. In the chat, Davido supposedly praised her beauty and asked about her background. The message read,
“Hey, you are such a pretty girl. Lethabo is a rare name. Where are you from?”
However, Davido quickly denied the claim. The singer described the screenshots as fake and warned Lethabo against spreading them. He also threatened legal action over the alleged fabrication.
“Who’s this bastard! Better stop it before you get your dùmb ass sued! Stop fucking around,” Davido wrote.
He further explained how his Instagram message panel should appear. According to him, the alleged screenshots do not match his actual chat interface.
Davido also criticised people who believed the screenshots were genuine. He called the accuser “a teenager fishing for attention online.” The singer added,
“It’s adults really believing that the screenshots are real.”
His response comes after several controversies involving alleged relationships with other women. In 2025, Davido also said he would never cheat again after his past experiences.
Over the years, several women have made allegations about Davido’s private life. Bonita Maria previously shared intimate content involving the singer in 2024. In 2023, Anita Brown and Ivana Bay also made claims about their alleged relationships with him.
Kenyan socialite Pendo Stacy made similar allegations that year. Another woman, Chisom, accused Davido of forcing her to have an abortion. Davido has denied some allegations, while others have sparked major online debates.
