Davido Says He Will Not Apologise to Monday Okpebholo Over “WAEC Reply”

Davido has refused to apologise to Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, after their recent social media clash. The singer said he did nothing wrong by sharing the governor’s alleged WAEC results online.

The feud started during the election campaign. Okpebholo had criticised Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is Davido’s uncle. He mocked Adeleke for dancing too much and questioned his ability to govern effectively. Davido later responded by sharing an alleged copy of Okpebholo’s WASSCE results. The results reportedly showed several D7 grades.

Speaking about the controversy, Davido maintained that he had no reason to apologise. He said his goal was to show Edo residents the academic results of their governor.

“I am not going to apologise. I didn’t do anything wrong. I was only letting the people of the state know the kind of results their governor has.”

Davido also accused Okpebholo of leaving Edo to interfere in another state’s politics. He claimed the governor was not truly elected and questioned his victory.

“You didn’t win those votes. You do not know what it is to win an election,” Davido said.

He also criticised the unfinished road leading to the Edo Government House.

However, Davido’s comments have continued to attract mixed reactions online. Critics accused him of disrespecting an older person and a sitting governor. Still, the singer stood by his actions. He also said he feels sorry for Okpebholo’s children over the public controversy.

“I feel so bad for his kids,” Davido added.

The singer’s latest comments show that their social media feud is far from over.
