Davido has slammed APC National Youth Leader Dayo Israel over comments about the Osun State governorship election. Israel credited the singer’s influence and campaign support for the election outcome. However, Davido rejected the claim and expressed his anger over the situation.
“I brought no one! No one defended me! I backed my family on my own!!” he wrote.
The singer also criticised politicians for what he described as their ruthless behaviour. Davido said he had done his part and wanted no further involvement.
“Nigerian politics is evil, AND I DON’T WANT TO BE A PART OF IT TILL GOD HELPS US!” he added.
His reaction quickly drew attention from fans and political followers online.
During the election period, Davido openly supported his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke. He also criticised several APC figures over their comments about the election. The singer previously called out Senator Francis Fadahunsi over an alleged call for violence against Accord Party supporters. He also questioned the APC’s position after the Ooni of Ife praised Adeleke.
Davido further clashed with Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo over comments about his uncle. He also traded words with former presidential aide Bashir Ahmad during the election season. Beyond Osun, Davido appealed for a free and fair election in Imo State. He has often spoken about his connection to Imo through his wife, Chioma. The singer also mocked MC Oluomo during a separate clash over Osun transport workers.
