Elon Musk Becomes Trillionaire Again as SpaceX Shares Surge

Elon Musk has crossed the $1 trillion mark again. His fortune jumped after SpaceX and Tesla shares gained strongly. Bloomberg valued Musk’s wealth at $1.04 trillion on Monday. That marks his return to the trillionaire club after about three months. Forbes also placed his wealth at around $1 trillion. Meanwhile, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos remained far behind at $371.5 billion.

SpaceX shares climbed 7.63% to $171.09. That became their highest level since mid-June. The company’s shares have also gained 13% since October began. Tesla shares added another 6.7% during the same period. Together, Musk’s stakes in both companies make up more than 98% of his wealth. So, every major price move can quickly change his fortune.

Musk first became a trillionaire in June after SpaceX listed on Nasdaq. His wealth later climbed to about $1.32 trillion. However, the celebration did not last long. A technology sell-off pushed SpaceX and Tesla shares lower. Musk then dropped below $1 trillion within weeks. Now, several fresh wins have helped rebuild his fortune. SpaceX’s Starship also completed a successful orbital flight last week. In addition, Tesla reported better-than-expected third-quarter vehicle deliveries.

The latest gains put Musk firmly back at the top of the wealth race. Forbes said Tesla’s delivery figures alone added $61 billion to his fortune on Friday. SpaceX also includes xAI after the two companies merged. Bloomberg says the combined business went public at a $1.8 trillion valuation. Still, Musk’s trillionaire status could change quickly. Another major fall in SpaceX or Tesla shares could push him below $1 trillion again.
