Elon Musk, Jensen Huang join Trump on major China trip

Top American tech and finance executives are accompanying President Donald Trump on a crucial visit to China.

US President Donald Trump has taken a powerful group of American business leaders to China as he prepares for high-level talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Among the executives joining the trip are Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Tim Cook, and Larry Fink.

The White House confirmed that 18 major US executives are part of the delegation. The group also includes leaders from companies such as Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, Meta, Boeing, Visa, Goldman Sachs, and Mastercard.

The visit comes at a tense moment in US-China relations, with ongoing disputes over trade, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and tariffs. Trump is expected to discuss Taiwan, technology restrictions, and economic cooperation during his meeting with Xi.

The inclusion of Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has drawn particular attention because of the growing competition between the US and China over AI chips and semiconductor exports. Micron Technology CEO Sanjay Mehrotra is also attending, despite previous Chinese restrictions on Micron products.

Trump’s China trip is the first by a US president in nearly a decade and is seen as a major test for relations between the world’s two largest economies.
