Nigerian rapper Erigga has fired back at Davido after the singer criticised his comment about musicians from wealthy families.
The drama started after Erigga praised musicians who “got it out the mud” without family money. Davido responded by asking him to also celebrate artistes who came from wealthy families but still worked hard to succeed.
“Shoutout to the ones that came from family money and still grind to the top,” Davido wrote.
He also described Erigga’s motivation as “useless.”Erigga has now responded, suggesting that Davido took his original post too personally. The rapper questioned why a simple shoutout to self-made musicians would upset the singer.
“Na shoutout to the ones when get it out the mud without family money dey make David crash out? From where to where??” Erigga wrote.
He followed up with another post that took a sharper swipe at the singer.
“Big man pikin dey cry say poor men children de hail dem self??? Motivate your self naw. Ambassador of RICH KIDS,” he added.
The exchange has since sparked reactions among Nigerian music fans. Some fans have sided with Erigga, while others believe Davido has every right to speak about his background.
For now, the social media clash between both artistes continues to attract attention online.
