Harry Kane Scores Twice as England Beat Czech Republic at Wembley

Harry Kane marked his record-equalling 125th England appearance with two goals as the Three Lions recorded a comfortable Nations League victory over the Czech Republic at Wembley.

The England captain also took his international goal tally to 91, drawing level with former goalkeeper Peter Shilton for the most England appearances. Kane’s latest goals continued his remarkable scoring record and moved him closer to becoming the first player to reach 100 goals for England.

The hosts took the lead after 27 minutes when Kane’s cross was turned into the Czech Republic goal by Vladimir Coufal, the former West Ham United defender. Kane then got his own name on the scoresheet five minutes before half-time. Morgan Rogers delivered an excellent first-time cross into the area, allowing Kane to finish from close range and give England a 2-0 advantage at the break.

The striker added his second goal in the 57th minute. Kane rose at the far post to meet Lewis Hall’s corner and headed the ball beyond the Czech defence to complete his brace. The goal brought his international tally to 91 and further strengthened his position as England’s all-time leading goalscorer.

Kane was substituted late in the match, leaving the pitch to a standing ovation as Dominic Calvert-Lewin came on. The result gives head coach Thomas Tuchel another positive performance to build on as England continue their Nations League campaign.

With Kane maintaining his extraordinary scoring rate for his country, the prospect of the England captain reaching 100 international goals is becoming increasingly realistic.
