JAMB introduces online O’Level verification

JAMB introduces online O’Level verification

Under the new arrangement, JAMB will verify candidates’ results electronically with the relevant examination bodies before adding them to their profiles.

The Board said the new system would make the process easier, faster and safer while reducing the problems linked to manual uploads. JAMB said the system would also help prevent issues involving misplaced or mixed-up certificates, unverified results and fraudulent submissions. It would also reduce errors that occur when candidates manually enter their subjects and grades.

The initiative is part of JAMB’s wider effort to reduce physical visits, queues and paperwork through digital services.

How to verify and upload O’Level results

JAMB said candidates must first obtain a result verification code through the designated verification portal. To begin the process, candidates will provide their National Identification Number (NIN), select the number of O’Level sittings and choose the relevant examination body or bodies. They will also provide their email address and GSM number before making payment through the available payment gateway.

After payment, candidates will enter their examination details. These include the examination number, examination series and examination year. JAMB will issue a Verification Code after successfully confirming the result.

Candidates must then send “VERIFY” followed by the Verification Code to 55019 or 66019.

The Board said JAMB would upload the verified result after the process. Candidates will also receive a notification confirming the submission.

Candidates with two O’Level sittings

Those who have two O’Level sittings should log into their JAMB e-Facility dashboard and select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.” They will enter the Verification Code to display their two verified results. Candidates can then select the subjects they want to use for their admission application.

JAMB said candidates must select a minimum of five and a maximum of nine subjects. They cannot select the same subject more than once. After selecting the required subjects, candidates should click “Apply the O’Level Results.” JAMB will send a notification once the upload is complete.

New system to reduce CBT centre queues

JAMB said the new service would give candidates another option when CBT centres face heavy patronage, long queues or network difficulties. The Board said it would continue working with examination bodies and other government agencies to improve its digital services.

JAMB said the initiative reflects its focus on candidate convenience and efficient service delivery. The new system moves O’Level result verification and upload online, allowing candidates to complete the process remotely instead of relying solely on physical visits to CBT centres.
