Makinde to inaugurate APM campaign council ahead of 2027 elections

Oyo State Governor and Allied People’s Movement (APM) presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, will inaugurate the party’s Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council in Oyo State on Friday.

The inauguration will begin at 3:30 p.m. inside the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office in Ibadan. Makinde’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, announced the event in a statement on Wednesday.

Adeniran to head Oyo campaign

Makinde picked the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Nureni Adeniran, to coordinate the APM presidential campaign in the state.

Adeniran will also lead the party’s Governorship Campaign Council as Director-General. Saheed Arowosaye, a former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, will serve as Deputy State Coordinator.

Party announces more appointments

Makinde also selected Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Demola Ojo, as Deputy Director-General for the South.

Dr. Femi Ojo will coordinate Oyo Central Senatorial District.

Alhaji Siju Lawal will oversee Oyo North Senatorial District.

The governor appointed Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo to lead the Women’s Wing.

He also picked former Special Assistant on Youth, Kazeem Bolarinwa, to head the Youth Wing.

More officials to join campaign council

The statement said the party will announce additional members of the campaign council later. According to Olarenwaju, the new appointments will strengthen preparations for the 2027 presidential and governorship elections.
