Katie Price has reportedly ended her eight-month marriage to Lee Andrews after a shocking money discovery.
The model and TV personality allegedly found just £2.22 in his cryptocurrency account. This came after Andrews claimed he had $50 million, worth about £37 million.
The Model Had A Plan Up Her Sleeves
Price reportedly hired a top London divorce lawyer as she considers ending the marriage. She also allegedly confronted Andrews on WhatsApp.
“I have been played and you are not who you say you are. Why have you lied to me?” she reportedly asked.
The crypto discovery reportedly became the final straw for Price. A source claimed Andrews gave her a recovery phrase for his crypto wallet. On August 31, a financial expert allegedly checked the account for her. The wallet reportedly contained only $3, or £2.22.
“Lee never had $50million; he doesn’t have a bean,” the source claimed.
Andrews allegedly once had $14,490 in March. However, the money reportedly left his account that same day. Price then reportedly told a friend:
“I have come to my senses — Lee has lied and lied and lied. I am sick of it. It is over.”
Several Controversies Surround Andrews
The split follows several controversies surrounding Andrews. He is currently being held at Al Awir prison in the United Arab Emirates. Andrews has denied the allegations against him. Reports also claim he presented himself as a wealthy businessman with impressive connections. He allegedly claimed to have an engineering PhD from Cambridge University.
However, the university reportedly found no record of him. He also claimed he bought Chelsea FC and worked with Kim Kardashian and Elon Musk. Reports later alleged that AI-generated images supported some of those claims.
Price and Andrews held a wedding ceremony in Dubai in January. However, that ceremony was not legally binding. They later registered their marriage in Abu Dhabi on February 17. Price reportedly has no plans to visit Andrews in Dubai again. She also allegedly fears he could try to claim some of her earnings. Meanwhile, reports say she wants to make a documentary about the controversy. The project could follow the style of The Tinder Swindler.
For now, Price appears ready to walk away from the relationship.
