The world’s biggest YouTuber, Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is officially a married man. The content creator tied the knot with his longtime partner, Thea Booysen, during a private wedding on Richard Branson’s famous Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.
The intimate ceremony welcomed about 70 close friends and family members. Unlike MrBeast’s viral videos, this celebration stayed completely offline. There was no livestream or special content for fans. Instead, the couple focused on sharing the moment with their loved ones.
The wedding came after a week-long celebration that started on July 14. Guests enjoyed fun activities like snorkelling and kitesurfing on the beautiful 74-acre island. Booysen wore a custom Nicole + Felicia Couture wedding dress, while MrBeast appeared in a classic Ralph Lauren tuxedo.
Their first dance was to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ hit song, Die With a Smile. Guests later enjoyed a luxury menu that included sushi, Wagyu beef, seafood, and Booysen’s favourite carrot cake. After the ceremony, MrBeast shared wedding photos on Instagram with the caption,
“I found MrsBeast. And it was the best day of my life.”
Meanwhile, Booysen described the entire experience as unforgettable.
“This is cliché, but it was heaven,” she said.
She added,
“We were so happy, and there was so much love. We work a lot and don’t get to be around all our friends and family, so to have everyone in one place was really special. We decided we want to start doing something like this every year, where we put aside a week to have our friends and family join us to spend time together.”
She also praised her husband for making every guest feel welcome.
“Jimmy really went out of his way to make all the guests super comfortable and feel included, and got to know my extended family. It was all so incredibly special. It just made me love him all the more,” she said.
The couple first met in South Africa in 2022 through a mutual friend. At the time, MrBeast was visiting the country. They quickly connected through their shared love for gaming and learning. Their relationship later continued across different countries before MrBeast proposed on Christmas Day in 2024 with both families present. Even before the wedding, he made it clear that the event would remain private.
“This will definitely be more family and friends, definitely more private,” he said.
“It will be the ultimate way to take some time away and enjoy things.”
Now, the internet’s biggest creator has started a new chapter, away from the cameras.
