The National Business and Technical Examinations Board has fixed September 10 as the deadline for registration for its 2026 November/December certificate examinations.
NABTEB announced the deadline in a statement issued by its Assistant Director, Media and Protocol, Uchechukwu Olisah, in Benin, Edo State.
Registration for the National Business Certificate, National Technical Certificate, Advanced National Business Certificate and Advanced National Technical Certificate examinations began on August 10.
Therefore, candidates who are yet to register have until September 10 to complete the process. However, those taking the December Modular Trades Certificate Examination have more time to register.
NABTEB announces registration deadlines
According to the board, registration for the December Modular Trades Certificate Examination will remain open until September 30. The different deadlines apply to candidates based on the examination they intend to take. NABTEB has urged all prospective candidates to complete their registration before the relevant closing dates.
“Prospective candidates and other stakeholders are advised to complete their registration before the respective deadlines,” Olisah said.
The board also announced the approved registration fees for the various examinations.
Candidates registering for the NBC or NTC examinations will pay N22,500. Meanwhile, the registration fee for the ANBC or ANTC examinations is N25,500. Candidates for the December Modular Trades Certificate Examination will pay N6,000.
Board advises candidates on registration
NABTEB also urged schools and technical and vocational institutions to follow the approved registration requirements.
The board extended the advice to apprenticeship centres and other stakeholders involved in the examination process. Olisah further advised candidates to get registration information only through NABTEB’s authorised channels. He said this would help candidates avoid errors, delays or other complications during registration.
The board said the examinations remain part of its mandate to provide competency-based assessment and certification in business and technical education.
According to NABTEB, the examinations also support skilled manpower development. In addition, they promote technical and vocational education and training as a route to economic empowerment and self-reliance.
Candidates urged to meet deadlines
With the September 10 deadline approaching, NABTEB has urged candidates to complete their registration without waiting until the final day.
Candidates for the December Modular Trades Certificate Examination, however, have until September 30 to complete their registration. The board also advised schools, training centres and other stakeholders to ensure that candidates follow the approved registration process.
NABTEB said compliance with the requirements would help reduce registration errors and other problems that could affect candidates before the examinations.
