NAF Airstrikes Destroy Terrorist Hideout in Borno

The Nigerian Air Force says fresh precision airstrikes have dealt another major blow to terrorist operations in Borno State.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has destroyed a terrorist enclave in Borno State following a fresh wave of precision airstrikes targeting insurgent positions.

According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation was launched after credible intelligence revealed renewed terrorist activities and the concentration of fighters within the area.

The Air Force said the strikes successfully hit the identified targets, disrupting the terrorists’ hideout and degrading their operational capability. The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks operating in the North-East.

Ejodame stated that the latest offensive demonstrates the military’s sustained commitment to denying insurgents safe havens and preventing them from regrouping. He added that intelligence-driven operations remain central to the country’s counter-terrorism strategy.

The Nigerian military has intensified air and ground operations across the North-East in recent months. This forms part of efforts to weaken terrorist groups, protect civilians, and restore stability to affected communities.

NAF reaffirmed that the Armed Forces remain focused on consolidating the gains already recorded in the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign. Says it will continue targeting threats to national security.

Military authorities say operations against terrorist groups will continue until lasting peace is restored across the region.
