A masquerade has been arrested after a 24-year-old man was allegedly killed in Oyo State.
The Oyo State Police Command has arrested a masquerade identified as Asoleke over the murder of a 24-year-old man. According to the police, the victim was attacked with dangerous weapons in an incident that sparked outrage among residents.
Police said the arrested suspect is in custody, while four alleged accomplices are still on the run. The Commissioner of Police, Abimbola Olugbemiga, has ordered that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a full investigation.
The command urged residents to remain calm and assist security agencies with useful information that could help track down the fleeing suspects.
