Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa has celebrated his wife, gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, on her birthday with sweet words. The clergyman shared a video of Mercy and praised her for being a loving wife and mother.
He described her as “the wife of my youth, the mother of my children, my best friend, and God’s own prized possession.” According to him, Mercy’s presence in his life has brought “increase in favour, joy, and blessings on every side.”Pastor Blessed also praised the grace and strength behind Mercy’s public image. He said,
“I recognise the grace you carry. I see the woman behind the public figure, the strength behind the smile.”
He added that he would choose her again in every season and lifetime.
“I love deeply, and I will keep choosing you. Always,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Pastor Blessed has consistently celebrated Mercy and her achievements. Last year, he praised her for rising above lies, noise, and public pressure with a smile. He also recalled her decision to remain committed to gospel music after winning Nigerian Idol in 2012. According to him, Mercy chose obedience over compromise, even though the decision meant waiting for four years.
The couple got married in a star-studded ceremony in Port Harcourt on August 12 and 13, 2022. Since then, they have openly celebrated their love and family on social media. In August, Mercy marked their fourth wedding anniversary with a heartfelt message to her husband. She expressed gratitude for another year of love and togetherness.
