Phil Foden starred as Manchester City defeated Crystal Palace 3-0 to keep their Premier League title hopes alive.
Manchester City boosted their Premier League title chase with a convincing 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.
Midfielder Phil Foden played a key role in the win, creating two goals and delivering one of his strongest performances of the season as manager Pep Guardiola rotated his squad ahead of the FA Cup final.
City broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute when Foden’s clever backheel pass set up Antoine Semenyo to score. Shortly before half-time, Foden again sparked the attack as Omar Marmoush doubled City’s lead with a composed finish.
Substitute Rayan Cherki later assisted Savinho for City’s third goal, sealing a comfortable win for the defending champions.
The result keeps Manchester City firmly in the Premier League title race while also strengthening Foden’s case for inclusion in Thomas Tuchel’s England World Cup plans.
