Phyna Remembers Late Sister One Year After Death, Says “I’m Sorry I Couldn’t Get You Justice”

Big Brother Naija star Phyna has marked the first anniversary of her sister’s death with an emotional tribute. The reality star shared the post on social media on August 31, 2026.

She recalled the painful loss and said she still struggles to accept her sister’s absence. Phyna also renewed her call for justice over the incident involving a Dangote Group truck. She alleged that an underage driver was behind the wheel and still walks free.

According to Phyna, her sister’s case was eventually swept under the carpet. She also accused Dangote Group of failing to pursue justice after the tragedy. In her emotional message, she wrote,

“People say time heals, but sometimes I wonder if time really heals or if we just learn how to live with the pain.”

She added that she still wishes for one more conversation, hug, and laugh with her sister.

Meanwhile, Phyna recalled how difficult the past year has been. She said her sister’s absence created a space nobody else could fill. Despite the pain, she promised to carry her memory through every stage of her life.

“One year has passed, but your memory remains alive in my heart,” she wrote.

Phyna ended the tribute with a painful apology:

“I’m sorry I could not get you justice.”

The controversy began in August 2025 after Phyna accused Dangote Group of being responsible for the crash involving her sister. She also claimed the truck’s plate number was removed. However, Dangote Group later released a statement expressing support for the victim. The company said it would provide medical care and appropriate compensation.

Sadly, Phyna’s sister died on August 31, 2025. Since then, the BBNaija star has spoken openly about her grief. She has also faced criticism over how she has handled her life after the loss. Phyna previously said her family had moved on and that she had also grieved. Still, she stressed that her sister would remain in her heart forever.
