Police rescue two kidnap victims, arrest suspects in Bauchi

Security operatives rescued two kidnapped victims and arrested suspects during a coordinated operation in Bauchi State.

The Bauchi State Police Command has rescued two kidnap victims and arrested several suspects linked to the abduction. The victims were freed during a security operation carried out by police officers and other security agencies.

According to the command, all arrested suspects are currently in custody, while the case has been transferred to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit for further investigation.

The police said efforts are ongoing to track down other suspected members of the kidnapping gang who escaped during the operation. Authorities are also working to recover weapons believed to have been used by the suspects.

The Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, commended the operatives involved in the rescue and praised the collaboration among security agencies.

Bauchi Police Reaffirm Anti-Kidnapping Efforts

The command reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on kidnapping and other violent crimes. It also assured residents that all suspects found guilty would be prosecuted in line with the law.

Police authorities say investigations are continuing as efforts intensify to dismantle the remaining members of the kidnapping network.
