Odumodublvck Vows to Retire from Music After Collective Success of Anti World Gangstars

Popular Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has revealed that he plans to step away from music once all members of his hip-hop collective, Anti World Gangstars, achieve significant success in their individual careers. The rapper made this known in a recent post shared via his official X (formerly Twitter) account, where he wrote: “Once all my nggas make it in music, I’m out.”*

Odumodublvck among Anti World Gangstars Group

The Anti World Gangstars is a music group made up of five rappers—Odumodublvck, Agunna, Fatboy E, Reeplay, and Shagba—as well as their producer and sound engineer, Cross. Among them, Odumodublvck stands out as the most commercially successful artist. His rise to national prominence began with the release of his 2023 breakout single, “Declan Rice,” a track he boldly described in an interview as “the most impactful Nigerian hip-hop song of all time.”

Since entering the limelight nearly three years ago, Odumodublvck has consistently gained traction, earning collaborations with top-tier local and international acts, including Nigerian superstar Davido and UK-based rap heavyweights Skepta and Stormzy. His unique style and growing influence have earned him a solid fan base and positioned him as a central figure in Nigeria’s evolving hip-hop scene.

Odumodublvck’s World

Despite his success and visibility, the other members of the Anti World Gangstars have yet to achieve the same level of recognition, continuing to operate mostly within the underground music scene. Odumodublvck, however, remains committed to supporting them and using his platform to elevate the collective. His recent declaration suggests that his long-term goal is not just personal success, but also the success of his entire crew.

The rapper’s loyalty to his team reflects a deeper philosophy rooted in brotherhood, loyalty, and shared ambition. By pledging to exit the industry once his peers reach their goals, Odumodublvck is signaling a desire to see collective progress rather than individual glory—a rare stance in an industry often driven by personal accolades.

As fans and industry observers continue to watch Odumodublvck’s meteoric rise, his statement serves as a reminder that behind the fame is an artist driven by a sense of purpose that goes beyond the charts.
