Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has spoken again amid her ongoing legal battle with Judy Austin. She said she has no plans to back down from the fight anytime soon. Rita made the statement in a lengthy social media post. She claimed that people were already begging her to step away from the matter. However, the actress said she remains “unfading,” “unwavering,” and a “living tiger.”
Rita also warned against pushing her beyond her limits. According to her, pressure only makes her stronger. She said she does not retreat because of noise or criticism. Instead, she becomes more determined.
“I don’t chase trouble, but I will never run from it,” Rita wrote.
She also said she has mastered silence but should never be mistaken for being afraid.
Meanwhile, the drama follows a lawsuit reportedly filed by Judy Austin against Rita. Judy is demanding N1 billion in damages, alongside a retraction and public apology. The suit also reportedly includes N50 million and 10% post-judgment interest. Rita has since questioned Judy’s use of the surname Yul Edochie. She challenged her to produce a marriage certificate if she wants to be addressed by that name.
Rita also took another swipe at Judy while reacting to the lawsuit. She claimed Judy is not the first woman to take another person’s husband. However, she said Judy would be the first to face karma in this case. Rita vowed to face her in court and suggested Judy might regret taking legal action.
For now, the public drama between both women appears far from over. All eyes are now on what happens next in court.
