Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has received urgent medical attention. Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, also known as Yayi, reportedly facilitated the intervention.
The development comes after Ogogo’s daughters raised concerns about his health. On Monday night, Kira revealed that her father was battling stage 4 cancer. She said a hospital had denied him chemotherapy. She then appealed for medical experts who could help treat him. However, she stressed that the family was not seeking financial support.
Similarly, Ogogo’s daughter, Lima, said several hospitals had refused to treat the actor. She made an emotional appeal for help, saying,
“I don’t want my father to die.”
Following the family’s appeal, Senator Yayi reportedly contacted leading cancer specialists. Actress Toyosi Adesanya shared the update online. She confirmed that Ogogo had been admitted to the operating theatre for treatment.

“Senator Yayi personally reached out to top cancer specialists and we are grateful to learn that Ogogo has now been admitted to the operating theatre for treatment,” Adesanya wrote.
She also prayed for a successful procedure and complete recovery.
Meanwhile, fans and colleagues have continued to pray for the veteran actor. Ogogo previously spoke about his health struggles during an interview with Oyinmomo TV. He revealed that he had battled a strange illness for seven years. According to him, he once survived mainly on pap because he could not eat other foods. The actor also recalled seeking treatment from different places.
For now, many Nigerians are hoping the latest medical intervention brings Ogogo renewed strength and better health.
