Nollywood actress Irewole Olaniyan has faced serious allegations from a married woman identified as Mary Edris. Mary accused the actress of having a three-year affair with her husband. She made the allegations in a now-deleted social media post.
According to Mary, she contacted Irewole privately after learning about the alleged relationship. She claimed the actress initially denied knowing that the man was married. Mary also said Irewole described him as “not her type” and claimed she had blocked him. However, she alleged that the relationship continued for years.
Mary further claimed that her husband supported Irewole’s movie productions, trips and expensive lifestyle. She alleged that the pair travelled to South Africa together in September 2024. She also accused the actress of presenting a different image online.
“She has been a torment in my home/marriage,” Mary wrote.
The situation became more heated when Mary shared screenshots of alleged messages from Irewole. In the messages, the actress reportedly said she ended her relationship with the man long ago. Mary, however, claimed the actress continued contacting him through different numbers. She also accused Irewole of asking him for money.
“Leave my family alone and stay away from us!” she wrote.
Mary said she had remained silent for a long time but could no longer keep quiet.
For now, the allegations have sparked reactions online, with Mary calling for Irewole to stay away from her family. Irewole’s side of the story remains part of the controversy.
