Mr Latin, Toyin Abraham and other Nollywood stars seek urgent cancer treatment support for veteran actor Taiwo Hassan Ogogo.
Nollywood stars have rallied behind veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo. The actors are seeking urgent medical help for the Yoruba film legend.
TAMPAN president Bolaji Amusan, known as Mr Latin, joined Odunlade Adekola, Toyin Abraham, Muyiwa Ademola and Bimbo Oshin. They urged Nigerians to connect Ogogo’s family with trusted cancer specialists and treatment options.
“We appeal to everyone to support Uncle Taiwo Hassan Ogogo, who has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer,” Ademola said.
“We cannot afford to gamble at this stage.”
Odunlade Adekola also shared an emotional appeal online.
“Jesus Christ! Please we are begging you if you know who can treat him. Hospital is saying that they can’t give him chemo.”
Meanwhile, Femi Adebayo also called for public support for the veteran actor.
Ogogo’s family recently opened up about his condition. His daughter, Kira, said they discovered the cancer diagnosis about three weeks ago. She added that some hospitals said chemotherapy was no longer an option. The family is now searching urgently for other credible treatment options. Another daughter, Lima, thanked Senator Solomon Adeola for helping with medical expenses. She said the senator had also promised to continue supporting the family.
Ogogo remains a respected name in Yoruba entertainment after decades in the industry.
