Tegbe Mobilises Oyo APC for Tinubu’s Re-election

The Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, has launched a statewide campaign to mobilise Oyo APC members ahead of the 2027 general elections. He wants party members to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election and other APC candidates.

Tegbe began the campaign in Ibadan on Sunday with meetings involving party leaders and community stakeholders from Ibadan South-East and Ibadan North. He urged members to unite and strengthen grassroots mobilisation across the state.

Speaking at the meetings, Tegbe called for a coordinated campaign across all wards and polling units. He said the party’s success would depend on unity and effective engagement with voters.

“We must take this mobilisation to every ward and polling unit across Oyo State,” he said.

He also expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and defended the President’s power sector reforms. Tegbe believes the reforms will improve electricity supply and living conditions.

Meanwhile, the minister highlighted ongoing federal electricity projects across Oyo State. He disclosed plans to build solar mini-grids in different locations. He also said electrification projects in Ogbomoso, Oke-Ogun and Ibarapa were nearing completion. According to him, these projects will address electricity challenges and support economic activities.

“Our commitment is not just about politics; it is also about delivering tangible benefits to the people,” Tegbe added.

He expressed hope that the projects would bring relief to communities facing poor power supply. The minister also pledged full support for APC candidates in the 2027 elections. He urged party members to put aside their differences and work together for victory.

Oyo APC governorship candidate Sharafadeen Alli attended the meeting and expressed confidence in Tegbe’s ability to deliver. Alli also asked party members to support the minister with prayers. Other party leaders echoed their confidence in Tegbe and reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s mobilisation efforts ahead of the elections.
