President Bola Tinubu has boldly blamed political opposition leaders for the nation’s current economic hardships, including hunger and poverty.
He asserted that rival politicians created the very problems they now exploit for political criticism against his administration.
President Tinubu made the remarks during the official flag-off of his 2027 re-election campaign at Ranchers Bees Stadium in Kaduna.
Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga noted that the criticisms were aimed at figures like former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar.
Consequently, the high-stakes political gathering set the tone for an intense electoral battle leading into the 2027 general elections.

“We must judge administrations based on tangible performance and infrastructural investments,” campaign officials stated.
Meanwhile, Works Minister Dave Umahi highlighted ongoing infrastructural strides across the North-West region during virtual commissioning sessions.
