President Bola Tinubu says his administration will continue to intensify efforts against insecurity until peace and stability return to all parts of the country.

Tinubu spoke on Sunday during the official presentation of the presidential flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to him in Abuja ahead of the 2027 election.

The president said Nigerians must remain united despite ethnic and regional differences.

“As Nigerians, we must continue to stand together for our country against all forces that seek to divide us,” he said.

“They will try, but we must be firm, be together, be our brother’s keeper.”

Tinubu acknowledged the economic hardship facing many Nigerians but said his government is laying the foundation for long-term prosperity.

“Many Nigerians still struggle with rising costs and economic adjustment,” he said.

“We do not dismiss these concerns. We understand them and govern not in comfort, but in reality, with honesty and action.”

The president admitted that the reforms may be difficult but insisted they are necessary.

“It might be tedious, hard, but yes, we are not made for easy roads,” he said.

“We are paying the price now, laying the foundation.”

Tinubu also addressed the security challenges confronting the country.

“I take seriously the responsibility of safeguarding the lives and property of every Nigerian,” he said.

According to him, the federal government has strengthened support for the military and police while improving cooperation with local communities.

“Our government has intensified efforts to strengthen our security architecture, support our brave armed forces and the police, and forge stronger partnerships with local communities,” he said.

The president vowed to defeat banditry and terrorism.

“We will win the battle against banditry and terrorism,” he said.

“We will not rest until we restore peace and stability to every corner of our country.”

Tinubu added that his administration remains committed to building a country where citizens can live and work without fear.

“Our goal is clear — a Nigeria where every citizen can live and work and aspire without fear,” he said.
