Trump says US will strike Iran again on wednesday

US President Donald Trump has warned of fresh military action against Iran after both countries exchanged strikes across the Middle East.

US President Donald Trump said the United States will launch new strikes against Iran on Wednesday, following overnight attacks between the two countries.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said: “We hit them hard yesterday and we’re going to hit them hard again today.”

He also repeated his call for Iran to sign a new agreement, arguing that Tehran had taken too long to negotiate.

The latest escalation follows US strikes on Iranian military targets on Tuesday after Washington accused Iran of bringing down a US Army helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) responded by launching attacks on US military bases in the region.

Iran accused the US of undermining diplomatic efforts. Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqai said Washington was “damaging this diplomatic process through the contradictory messages it sends” and through repeated violations of the ceasefire.

The conflict began in February after US and Israeli strikes on Iran triggered a wider regional crisis. Although both sides agreed to a ceasefire in April, intermittent attacks and stalled negotiations have kept tensions high.

The latest exchange of threats raises fresh concerns about a broader conflict in the Middle East.
