David Umahi, minister of works, has called on Nigerians to pray for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, saying the president means well for the country.
In a video seen by ALO 360 on X, the former Ebonyi governor said Tinubu has shown commitment in handling Nigeria’s challenges.
“We need to pray for the president,” Umahi said.
“We need to pray for his strength and his re-election because the president means well for Nigeria.”
The minister said he had not seen anyone with the same level of commitment as Tinubu.
“I don’t see any other person that has the kind of commitment he has with the daunting challenges we have in Nigeria,” he said.
Umahi also challenged critics of the administration to provide alternatives to the government’s policies.
“Nobody has been able to come out and say, listen, this particular area that we are criticising, this is the best way to go about it,” he said.
The minister urged Nigerians to pray for political leaders across the country.
“Let us pray for all our governors,” he said.
Speaking about Ebonyi state, Umahi said prayers should also be offered for APC leaders and candidates in the state.
“In Ebonyi state in particular, we pray for the president, we pray for Governor Nwifuru, we pray for all the APC candidates in Ebonyi state,” he said.
“That God will strengthen them and keep them.”
