Davido Reveals Plans to Move into Larger Home with Wife Chioma After Lavish Miami White Wedding
International Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, popularly known by his stage name Davido, has shared that he and his wife, Chioma Rowland, are preparing to relocate to a more spacious home following their white wedding ceremony in Miami, Florida, scheduled for this weekend.
In a recent interview with the U.S.-based entertainment network NoireTV-GlobalblackTV, the award-winning artist opened up about the couple’s next steps after their much-anticipated wedding celebration. The “Unavailable” hitmaker discussed various topics, including the significance of the upcoming ceremony, the current leg of his “5IVE Alive” North American tour, and their post-wedding lifestyle changes.
This Miami celebration will be the third installment of the couple’s wedding journey. It follows their court wedding and a traditional ceremony that was held on June 25, 2024, in Nigeria. For Davido and Chioma, this final white wedding is set to be an extravagant affair, bringing together family, friends, and high-profile guests from across the globe.
“It’s bound to be amazing,” Davido said during the interview. “We have a lot of friends flying in from Nigeria. After the wedding and the tour, I’m planning to announce my African Stadium Tour. Then I’m taking some time off to relax and enjoy family life—we’re moving into a bigger crib. I’m stepping up, man.”
Davido’s tour hits higher heights
Davido is currently in the middle of his highly successful “5IVE Alive” tour, which officially kicked off on July 11 in Los Angeles. The tour has already made stops in major cities including San Francisco, Houston, Toronto, and New York, with every show reportedly selling out. The tour is set to wrap up on November 20 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The music icon expressed excitement over how the tour has evolved creatively, noting that it’s his most ambitious live production to date. He credited renowned Nigerian music producer and director Cobhams Asuquo for raising the bar in terms of musical arrangement and stagecraft.
“Timeless was a huge learning experience,” Davido explained, referencing his 2023 studio album. “But this tour is something else entirely. We’ve really taken it to another level when it comes to production and sound quality.”
More Projects on the Horizon by Davido
Beyond performing, Davido also gave fans a glimpse into his upcoming creative ventures. He announced plans to release a documentary that will offer behind-the-scenes access to his life, career, and tour experiences. Additionally, he revealed he will take on the role of executive producer for an unnamed movie project currently in development.
As for what’s next after the North American and African tours, the Afrobeats star hinted that Europe might be his next destination for live performances, suggesting that fans across the continent should expect major announcements soon.
With his wedding celebration, chart-topping music, sold-out concerts, and new ventures in film and media, Davido continues to solidify his position as one of Africa’s most influential entertainers on the global stage. As he and Chioma prepare to begin a new chapter in a larger home, fans and supporters are eagerly watching what comes next for the power couple.
