Desola Afod, wife of Nollywood actor Kunle Afod, has responded to critics who describe her as clingy or proud.
The businesswoman addressed the issue in a post shared on her Instagram Story on June 5, saying people often misinterpret her actions regardless of her intentions.
Desola Speaks on Criticism
According to Desola, some people previously accused her of being overly attached when her former partner lived abroad.
However, she said the criticism did not stop after she changed her approach.
Instead, critics began describing her as proud.
“They said I was clingy because they’re abroad. I pulled back, and they said I was proud,” she wrote.
‘Tell Me How You Want Me to Act’
Furthermore, Desola expressed frustration over the constant judgment she faces.
She stated that she remains open to learning and improving her relationships with others.
However, she questioned how she should behave when every action attracts criticism.
“Beloved, I’m open to learning and understanding. Please tell me how you’d like me to act and relate with you, because it seems whatever I do is being misunderstood,” she added.
Previous Controversy Over Marriage Rumours
Meanwhile, Desola recently addressed rumours surrounding her marriage to Kunle Afod.
The speculation triggered online discussions and attracted criticism from social media users.
In response, she shared a strongly worded message on Instagram.
Using sarcasm, she reacted to allegations that she survives by selling her body for money.
Desola Fires Back at Trolls
Rather than deny the claims directly, she mocked the accusations and repeated some of the labels critics had used against her.
“I am everything they said I did. I am local, razz, and I be olosho,” she wrote.
She added that the alleged business was lucrative enough to support her family and take care of her responsibilities.

Response to Motilola Akinlami Drama
Earlier, Desola also became involved in a public dispute between her husband and actress Motilola Akinlami.
Motilola had accused Kunle Afod of frustrating her career opportunities following the end of their relationship.
The actress also urged Desola to speak with her husband.
However, Desola did not address the allegations directly.
Instead, she shared a video of herself dancing and promoting her business while using a song associated with calling out hypocrisy.
