Popular TikTok streamer Peller has finally explained why he dropped out of university after paying more than ₦2 million in fees. During a recent live session, he addressed people who often mock his education. He also made it clear that returning to school is still part of his future plans.
According to Peller, he gained admission after the university allegedly assured him he could continue streaming during lectures. However, things later changed. “The university I wanted to attend whined me. They deceived me that I would be streaming my classes, but they didn’t allow me stream, so I stopped going,” he said. He also claimed he paid over ₦2 million in fees, adding that many students at the school paid less.
Despite leaving the programme, Peller insisted education remains important to him. “My woman is a graduate, and my future child will also be a graduate. We are all going to be graduates. Time is not late for me to go back to school,” he said. His comments have earned praise from some fans, while others questioned his claims about the school fees.
Meanwhile, the discussion has added fresh fuel to the ongoing debate about education and social media success in Nigeria. Peller’s statement comes shortly after rapper Ycee criticised what he described as the growing “Olodo uprising” and “Peller culture.” Even so, Peller appears focused on his future and believes it is never too late to earn a university degree.
