Zendaya Turns 30 With Sweet Throwback Photo and Grateful Message

Zendaya has officially turned 30, and she marked the big day with a sweet childhood photo. The actress celebrated her birthday on Instagram on Tuesday, September 1. She also thanked fans for making her final year in her twenties special.

“I can’t thank ya’ll enough for making the last year of my twenties so beautiful. I have so much to be grateful for and so much to look forward to,” she wrote.

She ended the message with, “here’s to 30!!!!!”

The throwback photo showed Zendaya as a young girl with pigtails. She wore a light pink tank top and purple plaid trousers. Her mother, Claire Stoermer, also celebrated her daughter with a childhood photo.

Stoermer shared a sweet birthday message for Zendaya, who is her only child with Kazembe Ajamu Coleman.

“Happy 30th birthday to the love and light of my life!!” she wrote.

She added that Zendaya might not see the post because she is no longer active on social media. However, the pair had already spoken on FaceTime.

Beyond the birthday wishes, Stoermer has played a major role in Zendaya’s life. She spent almost 20 years teaching in underfunded schools in Oakland, California. Zendaya has often praised her mother for teaching her the value of education and hard work. She once said watching her mum teach inspired her greatly. Zendaya also credited her mother for shaping her views on beauty and confidence.

Meanwhile, 30 looks set to be another huge year for the actress. Zendaya has appeared in several major projects, including Euphoria and The Drama. She also stars in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and returns as MJ in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Next, fans will see her reprise her role as Chani in Dune: Part Three.

For now, Zendaya appears to be enjoying her milestone birthday away from the social media spotlight.
