Okpebholo Promises to Deliver 2.5M Votes For Tinubu in 2027

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has pledged to deliver at least 2.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

He made the promise on Friday in Benin City while addressing supporters at a rally organised by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors for Tinubu’s re-election.

The governor spoke confidently as party loyalists and supporters filled the venue.

Vote Targets Stir Internal Momentum

Okpebholo said leaders within the movement have begun pushing higher targets.

He revealed that the group’s chairman promised 3.5 million votes.

Meanwhile, the women’s leader also increased the projected figure.

As a result, the governor described the situation as a healthy internal contest driven by commitment rather than pressure.

He said the growing numbers show rising political energy across Edo State.

Elderly Voter Symbolises Grassroots Reach

During his speech, Okpebholo referenced a video clip that recently caught his attention.

He said the clip showed a 90-year-old woman declaring her intention to vote.

According to him, the woman’s resolve reflects widespread enthusiasm for the Tinubu project.

Therefore, the governor argued that if elderly citizens are ready to vote, younger people are already mobilised.

He pointed to the crowd as evidence of youth readiness and political awareness.

Mobilisation Cuts Across Gender and Geography

Okpebholo rejected gender-based assumptions about political mobilisation.

Instead, he said the campaign needs people who can move from place to place without excuses.

He stressed the importance of reaching donors, wards, and polling units regardless of season or terrain.

Consequently, the governor announced plans to inaugurate women-led structures at ward and unit levels.

He said these structures will strengthen grassroots outreach and voter education.

Renewed Hope Structure Takes Shape

Okpebholo described the event as part of a broader political framework.

He said the Renewed Hope Ambassadors represent only one arm of Tinubu’s re-election machinery.

At the same time, he confirmed that the ruling party will roll out additional structures.

As a result, political activities will intensify across Edo State in the coming months.

He urged supporters to prepare for sustained engagement rather than one-off rallies.

Tinubu’s Record Drives Confidence

Okpebholo defended President Tinubu’s performance in office.

He said no Nigerian leader has matched Tinubu’s political experience and reform record.

The governor pointed to ongoing economic reforms and major infrastructure projects, including the coastal road.

According to him, these initiatives demonstrate clear leadership direction.

He argued that Nigerians only vote out leaders who fail to perform.

Therefore, he insisted that Tinubu deserves continuity.

Implications for Edo’s Political Landscape

Okpebholo declared that Edo State already stands firmly behind Tinubu ahead of 2027.

He called on supporters to spread the Renewed Hope message in churches, communities, and daily interactions.

He urged them to embed the campaign message into everyday life.

Ultimately, the governor said his administration will deliver on its promise.

He added that political credibility depends on action, not slogans.
