Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made an initial approach for Victor Osimhen, with the offer believed to be worth up to £55 million.
According to Caught Offside, the North London club have opened discussions for the Nigeria international as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.
However, Galatasaray are said to be holding out for a fee closer to £65 million. This leaves a gap in valuation between the two clubs.
Osimhen, 27, has established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific forwards. He remains one of the most sought-after strikers in world football.
The Super Eagles star joined Galatasaray after leaving Napoli and has continued to impress with his goalscoring form in Turkey.
Tottenham’s reported interest comes as the club seeks additional firepower following a mixed campaign in front of goal.
It remains unclear whether Spurs will return with an improved offer, as negotiations are still at an early stage.
No agreement has been reached. However, Galatasaray are not believed to be under pressure to sell unless their valuation is met.
