Defence Minister Christopher Musa Praises Otti, Says Abia’s Transformation Is ‘Real and Visible’

Christopher Musa, minister of defence, has commended Governor Alex Otti over what he described as a visible transformation in Abia State.

Musa spoke on Friday during the 70th birthday celebration of Azubuike Ihejirika in Abia State.

‘Transformation Is Real’

The defence minister said he had initially doubted glowing reports about developments in the state.

However, he said his recent visit changed his perception.

“Lately, I have seen many comments praising Abia State, but I wondered if they truly reflected reality,” Musa said.

“After my recent visit, I can confirm firsthand that the transformation is real and visible.”

He added that the improvements were not exaggerated claims but observable changes on the ground.

Two Years in Office

Musa said the governor’s performance within two years demonstrates what focused leadership can achieve.

He urged residents to consider the long-term potential of sustained governance.

“To the people of Abia, look at what Governor Otti has achieved in just two years,” he said.

“Now imagine what could happen in eight years.”

Celebration of Ihejirika

The remarks came during events marking Ihejirika’s 70th birthday.

Dignitaries, political leaders, and members of the armed forces attended the celebration to honour the former army chief.

Musa described Ihejirika as a distinguished officer who served Nigeria with commitment and professionalism.

The event also provided a platform for discussions on leadership, development, and national progress.
