NDLEA (The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency), Kano Strategic Command, intercepted 75,000 capsules of pregabalin, 556 bottles of codeine cough syrup, and quantities of cannabis sativa in the Badawa area of Kano.
Sadiq Muhammad-Maigatari, Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics and Public Relations Officer of the command, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday in Kano.

Suspect Status
Moreso, The prime suspect connected to the drugs remains at large. The agency placed the individual on its wanted list. Yahaya-Lawal described the seizure as a serious blow to the cartel’s network. He added, “This seizure is a serious blow to the cartel’s network and protects the good people of Kano from the harms of these illicit substances.”
Yahaya-Lawal affirmed the command’s dedication to the directive of Brig.-Gen. Mohamed Buba-Marwa, NDLEA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, to achieve a drug-free society. He stated the agency would not relent in the fight against drug abuse and trafficking.
