Ellie Scotney Becomes UK’s Youngest Undisputed Boxing Champion

A fierce 10-round battle secured Ellie Scotney’s place in boxing history.

Ellie Scotney defeated Mexico’s Mayelli Flores by unanimous decision to become the undisputed super-bantamweight world champion. With the victory, she added the WBA title to her existing WBO, WBC, and IBF belts, completing the four-belt collection at 122lbs.

The fight, held on the Dubois vs Harper undercard, was far from easy. Flores pushed hard throughout, aiming to become the first Mexican woman to claim an undisputed title.

The bout was intense from start to finish, with both fighters showing resilience and determination.Judges scored the contest 100–90 twice and 96–94, all in Scotney’s favour, though the margins did not fully reflect the competitiveness of the fight.

With this win, Scotney becomes the youngest undisputed world champion from the UK in the four-belt era, marking a significant milestone in British boxing.

Her victory highlights both her dominance in the division and the growing global competition in women’s boxing.
