Charles Soludo, governor of Anambra state, has offered automatic employment to 37 first-class graduates of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU).
Soludo made the announcement during the university’s 16th convocation ceremony held on Saturday.
He said the beneficiaries will be employed by the university as graduate assistants and also receive scholarships to pursue postgraduate studies in any public university in Nigeria.
The governor said the gesture is aimed at rewarding academic excellence and encouraging students to strive for outstanding performance.
He added that his administration remains committed to strengthening the education sector and investing in human capital development in the state.
