Seriake Dickson, senator representing Bayelsa West, says there is no pending court case challenging the registration or operations of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
Dickson spoke on Saturday during the party’s national convention in Abuja.
The former Bayelsa governor dismissed claims that the party’s registration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was under legal dispute.
According to him, the NDC has no factional crisis and remains fully eligible to participate in all elective positions in the 2027 general election.
“There are no pending litigations nor appeal cases against the NDC,” he said.
“There are no factions, and the party is free to participate in all the elective positions for the 2027 polls without hindrance.”
Dickson urged party supporters not to believe what he described as propaganda targeted at discouraging members and prospective supporters.
“Don’t believe that propaganda. They are meant to discourage you,” he said.
The senator added that the party remained united and focused on building a credible political platform ahead of the next election cycle.
