“In the last three years, we have completed the construction of 414 roads measuring about 864.12 kilometres,” he said.
“A lot of them are going to be commissioned from next week.”
Otti said the state is also constructing 82 additional roads.
“There are another 82 roads under construction,” he said.
According to him, the projects span about 212 kilometres and are at different stages of completion.
The governor said the projects include drainage systems and streetlights.
“We are consistent in delivering street lights with the roads, and of course drainage,” he said.
Otti also said the government has introduced road maintenance measures through its direct labour agency and “zero pothole policy”.
“We also put in place maintenance plans for the roads,” he said.
The governor said the road projects would reduce transportation costs, improve businesses, and create jobs in the state.
“Roads reduce transport costs, improve business efficiency, accelerate trade and commerce, and most importantly create jobs,” he said.
