Stanley Osifo says he will remain loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC) despite losing the party’s presidential primary.

Osifo spoke in an interview with TVC News after the primary election held on Saturday.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the APC presidential ticket after defeating Osifo in the nationwide exercise.

Reacting to the outcome, Osifo said he would not take any action against the party.

“As a party man and as a member of a front, I don’t have to fight my party and I will never do that,” he said.

The APC chieftain said he would accept the outcome of the party’s internal process.

“I have to abide with the party,” he said.

Osifo added that some people may try to provoke him into acting against the APC, but he would resist such pressure.

“There are certain actions people will take. They just want to get you upset, get you angry, to do certain things against your party,” he said.

“I cherish my party so much, so I would never allow anyone to push me to do anything against my party.”
