NSCDC Takes Disciplinary Action Against Volunteers
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has dismissed five volunteer personnel over allegations of misconduct, unprofessional conduct, and gross indiscipline.
The affected individuals are Yakubu Mubarak Yusuf, Isma’il Muhd, Adamu Auwalu, Abdulrazaq Suleiman, and Ahmad Sarki.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Abdullahi, announced the development in a statement issued on Tuesday.
Commandant Approves Dismissal
According to the statement, the State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, approved the dismissal after reviewing the actions of the affected personnel.
The Command found that their conduct violated the Corps’ core values, ethical standards, and operational guidelines.
“The State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, approved the dismissal of the five volunteer personnel over misconduct, which is contrary to the Corps’ values, ethics and operational standards,” the statement read.
Uniforms and Official Materials Withdrawn
Following the dismissal, the Command recovered all official items issued to the former volunteers.
These include uniforms, identification cards, accoutrements, and other operational materials previously assigned to them.
The move aims to prevent any form of unauthorized representation of the Corps.
Officers Directed to Enforce Decision
Furthermore, Commandant Agalama instructed area commanders, divisional officers, and other senior personnel across the state to take note of the dismissal.
He directed officers to ensure the dismissed individuals do not represent or engage with the public on behalf of the NSCDC in any capacity.
Corps Reaffirms Zero-Tolerance Policy
The Commandant reiterated the Corps’ firm stance against indiscipline and misconduct.
He warned that any personnel whose actions damage the reputation of the organisation would face appropriate sanctions.
According to him, maintaining discipline and professionalism remains a top priority for the Command.

The Kano State Command also reaffirmed its commitment to integrity, accountability, and efficient service delivery.
The statement stressed that the Corps will continue to uphold high professional standards while carrying out its statutory responsibilities across the state.
